Saturday’s Fall Makers market in downtown Silver Spring showcased unique and handmade products from local artisans and featured live music and outdoor dining options. Tents were set up along Ellsworth Drive between Georgia Avenue and Fenton Street for the artisans to display and sell their work.
More than 35 artisans exhibited their work Saturday.
Locally Crafted, a Gaithersburg based business, organized Saturday’s market. They also operate a consignment shop located at 125 Boardwalk Place in Gaithersburg where more than 70 local artists display their work. Besides selling crafts, the store offers classes in crafting from calligraphy to beginning knitting.
The next Makers market takes place Saturday, Oct. 21 along the RIO lakefront in Gaithersburg.
