More than 800 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students are not compliant with Maryland immunization requirements and may be excluded from school starting Monday, Sept. 23.
Maryland school students must show proof of one Tdap (Tetanus-diphtheria-attenuated pertussis) and one meningococcal (MCV4) vaccination.
Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services spokesperson Mary Anderson said 834 students in grades seventh through 12th had not provided documentation of the required Tdap and MCV immunizations as of Tuesday.
Students who do not show proof of vaccinations by Monday, Sept. 23 will be excluded from school until documentation is received.
