As of Sunday morning, there are 244 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Maryland. Montgomery County residents accounted for 83 of those cases, or 34 percent of all cases in the state.
The Montgomery County cases jumped by 15 from Saturday.
On Saturday evening, the MDH announced that a Montgomery County woman in her 40s died as a result of COVID-19. Hers marked the state’s third death. She “suffered from underlying medical conditions,” according to MDH, which did not specify her medical problems.
Anyone who does not have health insurance should know that Maryland’s health insurance program is open for a special enrollment period. The deadline to enroll is April 15. The Maryland Health Connection website has information.
