A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after colliding with a Toyota Minivan, according to Montgomery County Police.
On Oct. 12 at 7:21 p.m., police received a report of a collision at Rockville Pike at Tuckerman Lane.
Police and fire rescue workers arrived and started life-saving measures, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead. The driver of the striking minivan also was taken to the hospital.
Police are investigating and are expected to release more information, including the name of the deceased when relatives are notified.
This collision is being investigated as a fatality. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene. Roads are closed north and southbound Rockville Pike at Tuckerman Lane.
