UPDATE: The city of Gaithersburg’s wreath-laying ceremony scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. will take place indoors at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Ave.
The city of Rockville’s annual ceremony will take place indoors at the Rockville Senior Center, 1150 Carnation Drive.

A concert in Silver Spring and a comedy show in Gaithersburg highlight Veterans Day observances in Montgomery County.
The 14th tribute to America’s Veterans Concert is set for Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post 41 on Sligo Avenue in Silver Spring. Performances include klezmer music and Django Jazz with Seth Kibel and Kleztet.
The free event is presented by Silver Spring Town Center in collaboration with the Montgomery County Commission on Veterans Affairs and the Sons of the American Legion. Marine Corps Veteran Wayne Miller, chair of the Commission on Veterans Affairs, is the keynote speaker.
Veterans are encouraged to wear military dress. El Golfo restaurant will provide light hors d’ouevres.
Improbable Comedy, a Silver Spring-based stand-up group featuring military comics and veterans and spouses, is set for Nov. 11 at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn on Kent Square Road. Tickets are $22.
The show will be hosted by Sharon Kang from the Army National Guard and will feature Doug Bennett and Demi Chang from the Marines, Patrice DeVeaux from the Air Force, Pete Bergen from the Army and Sherry Priester, a Navy spouse.
The City of Rockville will hold its annual ceremony at Veterans Park, Routes 28 and 355, Friday Nov. 11 at a.m. American Legion Post 86 will lead a wreath-laying ceremony and its honor guard will present a 21-gun salute.
The City of Gaithersburg will commemorate Veteran’s Day with words and music and a wreath-laying ceremony at Concert Pavilion, 31 South Summit Avenue on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.
