Participating movie theaters in Montgomery County will offer $3 tickets as a part of National Cinema Day Saturday, Sept. 3. Tickets to all movies, regardless of the format, are $3 all day Saturday at participating theaters.
The one-day event, sponsored by the non-profit Cinema Foundation, will bring together audiences of all ages to enjoy a day at the movies with a discounted admission of no more than $3. Exclusive previews from Amazon Studios, Disney, Lionsgate, Paramount, Sony Pictures Classics, Warner Bros., and more will be shown only on Saturday.
“After this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing,” said Cinema Foundation president Jackie Brenneman. “We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”
Regal Movies, as well as AMC theaters in the area will be offering the discounted tickets. To find participating movie theaters, visit the National Cinema Day website and use the Find Cinemas search.
