Tuesday marks National Voter Registration Day. It serves as a friendly reminder for residents to be prepared for the upcoming election on Nov. 3 — just six weeks away.
Montgomery County Board of Elections officials say it’s critical that you’re registered to vote, and your information is current.
“If the mail-in address is different than your physical residential mail-in address, make sure we have the correct one… we want to make sure you get your ballot,” said Dr. Gilberto Zelaya with the Montgomery County Board of Elections in regards to the vote-by-mail option.
The deadline to register is Oct. 13. National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday that was first observed in 2012. Nearly three million voters nationwide have registered to vote on the holiday to date.
