The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind advisory for Montgomery County this afternoon. The advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Monday through 1 a.m. Tuesday.
According to the NWS, winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected. The winds may blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to begin around 1 p.m. and continue through the evening.
If a power outage results in dark traffic lights, officials remind residents to treat those traffic signals at four way stops.
