Montgomery County opened a new COVID-19 testing facility on Wednesday at the Wheaton Library and Community Recreation Center, said Dr. Travis Gayles, Chief of Public Health Services in Montgomery County.
The recreation center will be open for testing on Wednesdays. At a virtual media briefing, Gayles said the county is gearing up to open another site on Monday at the Germantown Upcounty Regional Services Center, which will be open on Mondays.
The centers are not walk-in. Patients must get a referral from a healthcare provider in order to qualify for testing.
