On Thursday, 32 new law enforcement officers were sworn in during a graduation ceremony at Covenant Life Church in Gaithersburg.
20 graduates will go to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), according to police. The rest of the 78th class of the County Public Safety Training Academy will join the Sheriff’s Office, Fire/Rescue Service, Park Police, Gaithersburg Police, Rockville Police, or Takoma Park Police.
The new officers will be on patrol after completing the field training program, according to MCPD.
