Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will dismiss at the usual time Tuesday as snow is forecast in the afternoon, but after-school activities are canceled.
According to MCPS, activities in the afternoon and evening are canceled, including field trips, games, team practices, and other programs at schools.
After-school childcare will still operate, but MCPS encourages families to pick up their children as soon as possible — “Families are strongly encouraged to contact their childcare provider for specific information.”
According to MCPS, “During afternoon dismissal, it will be snowing, but icy and unsafe conditions are not expected until late into the evening.”
Potential announcements updates about Wednesday’s school operation status will be made before 7 p.m. Tuesday, per the school system.
