Noyes Children’s Library is celebrating libraries during its 8th StoryWalk.
A Library, by poet Nikki Giovanni and illustrated by Erin Robinson, is posted throughout Warner Circle Park, 10231 Carroll Place, Kensington, which is right across from the library. It runs through March 12.
Described as a love letter to libraries, the book shows that libraries are for knowledge, imagination, exploration and escape.
This StoryWalk is timed to celebrate Black History, Library Lovers and Women’s History months and is sponsored by The Noyes Children’s Library Foundation.
A craft related to the book is available online at www.noyeslibraryfoundation.org/events.
Noyes Foundation also is sponsoring Trivia Night. The questions will revolve around readers’ knowledge of their library. The Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. event is a fundraiser for the foundation. There is no fee, but contributions are welcome. Register here.
There will be seven rounds of trivia during the two-hour event. Contestants can play by themselves, with friends or family.
