It seems like just yesterday the Atlantic Corridor experienced 90-degree summer weather. Oh right, that was yesterday.
Today the Old Farmer’s Almanac may be rushing the season, but they predict a mild and snowy winter for our region. Temperatures will be slightly above average. But look for some cooler blasts mid December, in parts of January and late February.
Snowfall should be lower than normal with the best chances for flakes in late December (can this mean a White Christmas?) and late February.
According to the Almanac’s editor in chief Carol Connare, “We’re predicting a temperate, uneventful winter—potentially a welcome reprieve from the extremes of recent years.”
Published every year since 1792, this year’s edition promises to help you learn how to:
- Garden by the cycles of the Moon
- Understand and interpret the curious behaviors of cats
- Find health and happiness in a cup of tea
You can buy the Almanac in most bookstores and online.
