The 13th annual Montgomery County Older Adult Safety Forum will be held on Thursday, June 15 at the Holiday Park Senior Center in Silver Spring.
The free event, which lasts from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., coincides with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and will emphasize building a safer community. A livestream of the event is also available.
During the forum, participants will receive information about county resources and view presentations from the State’s Attorney’s Office, Adult Protective Services, the Office of Consumer Protection and law enforcement. There will also be interactive activities, including music and a yoga demonstration.
The forum is hosted by the Montgomery County Elder/Vulnerable Adult Abuse Task Force in collaboration with several county agencies.
Lunch will be provided following the forum.
Participants can register for the forum at Holiday Park Senior Center, by calling 240-777-4999 during business hours or online. Interpreters and other accommodations are available upon request.
