Montgomery County, and in particular Olney, was hit hard during a storm Tuesday evening. The worst of the storm raged between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m with the Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service (MCFRS) being on “Condition Red” during that time. Olney was hit around 6 p.m., leaving around 20 – 30 structures damaged.

According to the MCFRS, dozens of families are likely to be displaced due to the storm damage to their homes and many units are in the area helping to clear the damage. No serious injuries have been reported and it seems that members of the community have been helping their neighbors clear debris in any way they can.
