The Olney Library will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 27 for an exterior assessment and will reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28. In the event of inclement weather, the library will instead close on Friday, March 1.
The library is located at 3500 Olney-Laytonsville Road in Olney.
“We recognize the impact of our services on your daily lives, and we regret any disruption caused by this one-day closure,” said Anita Vassallo, director of Montgomery County Public Libraries. “We encourage you to access services at nearby branches and explore our digital resources during this time. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to resuming operations at the Olney branch.”
The library will make customer holds available when it reopens on Feb. 28. Nearby branches are the Aspen Hill, Damascus, Wheaton, and White Oak libraries. The temporary closure will not affect electronic access to the MCPL website.
