The Montgomery Art Association (MAA) and the Town of Kensington will hold its annual “plein air” (“in the open air” in French) competition from 7 a.m.to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 31. Look out for artists and their easels all over town.

While the paint dries, attend the MAA Art Sale at the historic Kensington Armory from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Stick around to catch the awards for the competition from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Art Sales continue all weekend along with demonstrations by local artists.

Montgomery Art Association celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. The Kensington show ranks as one of the area’s longest running and largest art shows.
