The Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA) will host a series of virtual forums on the fourth Friday of each month from January through June. Each forum will focus on a topic affecting families.
The first forum is scheduled for Jan. 28 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Families will learn about ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences), the impact of COVID-19 on children.
Licensed clinical psychologist Lesley K. Sanders will discuss ACES and address the following:
- What ACES looks like.
- How it is impacting our kids.
- What families can do about it.
Following the presentation there will time for questions and answers. Resources available to families will be discussed.
The forum will be presented in multiple languages through a collaboration with Montgomery County Department of Community Partnerships.
Each session is free to attend but online registration to join the zoom meeting is required.
The dates for each forum are Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 25, April 22, May 27, and June 24.
