It is never too early for parents to start thinking about their children’s plans for the summer. For residents looking for summer camp programs, Montgomery County Recreation will be hosting two Summer Camps Fairs during the month of January.
The first fair will take place Saturday, Jan. 7 at East County Community Recreation Center. There will be a second fair hosted on Sunday, Jan. 22 at the Nancy H. Dacek North Potomac Community Recreation Center. Both fairs are set to take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Through the fairs, parents will learn more about camps in the county and even be exposed to the kinds of activities their children would experience during the summer.
“Montgomery County Recreation provides hundreds of healthy summer camp programs at locations throughout the County,” per a press release. “New this year, experience camp at the fairs with games and activities you would see at summer camp!”
According to Montgomery County Recreation, the fair will also provide parents with the opportunity to meet with camp staff members and ask any important questions.
There is no registration required to attend the event. Residents will be able to register for summer camp programs starting Tuesday, Jan. 17.
“[Residents] will be able to view camps online, as well as a digital and build your own guide beginning January 6,” per a press release. “Parents are encouraged to plan early for the summer months as many camps fill up quickly.”
