In celebration of its 40th birthday, Glen Echo’s renowned Puppet Co. aims to captivate audiences with a magical outdoor reimagined performance of the beloved tale, “Peter and The Wolf.”
The events will take place at two parks in the county this weekend:
Germantown Town Center Urban Park on Friday, August 11, starting at 10:00 a.m.
Flower Avenue Urban Park on Saturday, August 12, starting at 10:00 a.m.
“Peter and The Wolf” has been a fan favorite in the Puppet Co’s collection for decades. The enchanting story was brought to life nearly 70 years ago by the company’s founding father, with handcrafted puppets by Christopher Piper, the present owner and creator. This reimagined version of the classic folktale entertains audiences young and old.
Guests planning to attend the celebration are encouraged to make themselves comfortable by bringing their own lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Admission to the event is free.
