This week marks the 54th anniversary of Earth Day. Montgomery Parks held several events to observe the day, including a Monday tree planting in Gaithersburg’s Stewartown Local Park.
In all, 60 trees were planted – some oaks, hollys and ironwood. Colter Burkes of the Urban Forestry team calls these saplings an investment in the future for us and the planet.
