
This weekend, the Red Line will operate in two segments due to track work between Shady Grove and Medical Center and between Van Ness and Glenmont.
Free shuttle buses will replace train service on the closed section of the line Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-23. Red Line trains will run in two parts: one between Shady Grove and Medical Center, the other between Van Ness and Glenmont.
Trains will run every eight minutes during the day and every 10 minutes after 9:30 p.m. Trains will be single tracking at Van Ness only.
Free shuttle buses will run between Medical Center and Van Ness.
Metro crews will replace the switch machines in the interlocking where trains are able to cross between separate tracks. All other Metro lines will operate normally.
