
Police said a pedestrian was fatally struck in Silver Spring on Thursday.
County police and fire rescue responded to East Franklin Avenue and Seminole Street at about 7:19 p.m. for a reported pedestrian struck, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
A man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He later died at the hospital. Police said the name of the decedent will be shared after notifying next of kin.
The driver, who was in a Honda CRV, stayed at the scene.
On Tuesday, a pedestrian was fatally struck in Rockville.
