The evening starts off with a special reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by the concert at 8 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and desserts by Frenchbistro Laperaux and wine will be served followed by an intimate concert featuring an all-Chopin program. The concert will include special requests (music by Chopin) from the audience. Widely regarded as one of the leading pianists of his generation, Ganz has made it his mission to join vivid music making with warmth and intimacy onstage to produce a new kind of listening experience, in which great works come to life with authentic emotional power according to a press release.
Ticket purchase for this event will contribute to the purchase of a new concert piano and expanded music programming for the Gaithersburg community as part of the Arts Barn Legacy Campaign. Tickets are $100.
The 2023-2024 concert season marks the 21st anniversary of the opening of the Arts Barn, the City of Gaithersburg’s home for the performing and visual arts.
