Play In A Day: Area Theater Companies to Produce a Show in 24 Hours

Six professional area theater companies will participate in writing, directing, rehearsing and performing original plans – all in just 24 hours.

Play in a Day actually begins March 7 as playwrights and directors meet to learn their assigned themes and props. Playwrights will then work through the night to create 10-minute plays. On Saturday, rehearsals begin, leading up to the performances that night.

Participating theatre companies include Adventure Theatre MTC in Glen Echo, Flying V in Bethesda, Imagination Stage, The Keegan Theatre in Washington, D.C., Olney Theatre and Rorschach Theatre in Washington, D.C.

General admission tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Bethesda Urban Partnership . Remaining tickets will be available at the door starting at 7 p.m.
