Montgomery County Police officers continue their alcohol holiday task force and as of Jan. 13 already have arrested 143 people for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The task force began its work Nov. 8, 2023.
“It’s one of the deadliest times on the roadway,” said Lt. Alfred Dzenkowski in a two-and-half minute video. “If you plan to drink, please plan for a safe ride home.”
The number of arrests only includes those made by members of the task force. Arrests by patrol officers are not included in this total, according to police.
