A 24-year-old man was taken into custody Monday morning following a domestic-related assault in Bethesda, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police.
At around 11:50 p.m. Sunday night officers responded to a report of an assault in the 6500 block of Greentree Road in Bethesda.
The incident involved a dispute between a son and his parents, which escalated when the son allegedly stabbed both parents with a knife, according to the police’s preliminary investigation.
Both parents were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. The son was taken into custody at around 5:20 a.m. Monday morning, according to police.
