Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) arrested and charged a 13-year-old, who was accompanied by an 11 and 12-year-old, for two commercial burglaries in Rockville, according to a press release.
MCPD said that at approximately 1 a.m. on Nov. 19, 1st District officers responded to a commercial burglary report at the Superior Auto Service on the 12200 block of Wilkins Avenue. According to MCPD’s preliminary investigation, the three juveniles forced entry, stole property and left the scene.
While investigating the first report, a second commercial burglary report came in from RMA Transportation on the 12200 block of Wilkins Avenue. MCPD said the preliminary investigation revealed they entered the center closed for business and were confronted by the employees. The juveniles ran out of the building and MCPD located them in the area with stolen property and transported them to the 1st District station.
The 11 and 12-year-old were released to their guardians, and the 13-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary and conspiracy and later released to their guardian, according to the release.
