Police said a man died in a two-vehicle collision involving a tow truck Friday in the Montgomery Village area.
51-year-old Juan Antonio Lamas Salcido, of Gaithersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
According to police, at about 2 a.m. Friday, officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to Wightman Road at Aspenwood Lane for a reported two-vehicle collision. Police said a Ford F-450 tow truck was going north on Wightman Road and struck Salcido, who was driving a Nissan Versa and trying to turn left from southbound Wightman Road to eastbound Aspenwood Lane.
