Police identified a bicyclist who was fatally struck Wednesday in Germantown.
He is identified as 28-year-old David Glenn Jenkins, II, of Germantown, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
Officers and fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Frederick Road and Gunners Branch Road at about 9:49 p.m. Wednesday for a reported collision involving a bicyclist. Police stated Jenkins was going east to west across Frederick Road, when a driver in a 2005 Acura RSX going northbound on Frederick Road struck him.
Jenkins was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver stayed at the scene, according to police.
Detectives are investigating potential involvement of other vehicles, according to MCPD.
