Police identified a man who authorities said was shot and killed Friday in Silver Spring.
29-year-old Nathaniel Potts, of Silver Spring, was pronounced dead at a hospital, the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) wrote in a release Saturday.
At about 3:05 a.m. Friday, officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to the 8500 block of 16th St. for a reported shooting, MCPD told MyMCM on Friday. Officers found a man, now identified as Potts, with an apparent gunshot wound and he was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries before he was pronounced dead.
In Saturday’s release, police said Potts was in the parking lot of the Summit Hills Apartment complex when he was shot. There is currently no suspect in custody.
