Montgomery County Police identified the victim of the one-car crash as Poolesville resident George Toman, 65.
According to police, Toman was traveling northbound on River Road, approaching Seneca Road, which is a âTâ intersection. He did not stop at the stop sign, crossed Seneca Road and collided with a tree located off the roadway.
After Toman did not arrive home, his family members tracked his phone to the location, which was not visible to traffic from the road, and contacted 911.

Montgomery County Police officers are investigating a fatal one car crash in Darnestown early Friday morning.
Police and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of River and Seneca roads at 12:31 a.m. where they extricated a male out of an orange Honda Element, which had crashed into a tree.
