Aman Abraham Gebreyesus, of Silver Spring, was killed July 27 as he crossed University Boulevard East at Langley Drive.
At 9 p.m., Gebreyesus, 30, was crossing the eastbound lanes of University Boulevard when he was struck by the driver of a blue 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to Montgomery County Police.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained on the scene. Anyone with information should call police at 240-773-6620.
