Police are investigating a homicide after a man was shot in Germantown last Thursday, according to a release from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
Last Thursday, Feb. 10 at about 9:06 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Cinnamon Drive and Mustard Seed Court for a reported shooting. Police found an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound and officers applied life-saving measures until fire rescue services arrived. The victim was walking to his home “when an unknown suspect approached in a vehicle and shot the victim,” police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died at the hospital, police said.
Police will identify the victim after notifying next of kin.
This is an active investigation. The police department urges anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070 or call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Callers can be anonymous and up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
