A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in Montgomery Village Monday morning.
At about 11:30 a.m., Montgomery County Police officers responded to the 19300 block of Clubhouse Road following the report of a shooting. When the officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Attempts to save his life were unsuccessful, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene,
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. One person has been detained.
This is an ongoing investigation, and police officers will release more information once the victim’s next of kin is notified.
