Police said they are investigating a home invasion robbery in the Wheaton-Glenmont area.
Last Wednesday, Jan. 18, Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officers responded to the 2300 block of Glenallan Avenue for the reported crime, per a release from MCPD.
According to police, at about 8 p.m., the victim heard a knock at her door and when she opened it, an unknown male with a handgun forced himself into her home and demanded money. She complied and the suspect then left with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police described the suspect as “a Hispanic male, approximately 6-feet, 3-inches tall, 220 to 230 pounds. He was wearing dark colored jeans, a faded blue zipper sweater, a dark blue baseball hat and a dark blue bandana covering the bottom of his face.”
Police released surveillance video of the suspect.
MCPD asks anyone with information to call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Up to $10,000 is offered for information that leads to the suspect’s arrest. Callers can be anonymous.
