Police are investigating a homicide after a man was found with trauma to his body early Sunday morning inside a residence in the White Oak area of Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) officials.
MCPD responded to a call around 3:22 a.m. to provide assistance to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue at the 11800 block of Old Columbia Pike. Officers discovered a man with bodily trauma and administered life-saving measures before transporting him to the hospital. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital.
As the investigation continues, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will complete an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. More information will be released as it becomes available, according to MCPD.
