Police Looking for 2 Possible Witnesses in 2022 Wayne Avenue Garage Homicide Case

Montgomery County police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men who may have information about a 2022 homicide in Silver Spring.

Detectives believe the men were near the Wayne Avenue Garage on the night of Dec. 21, 2022. They may have details that could assist in the ongoing investigation, police said.

One man is described as Black, between 50 and 70 years old, with gray facial hair. He wore a multi-colored hat, a hooded sweatshirt, a dark jacket, dark pants, and black and red sneakers. He was pushing a wheelchair occupied by the second man.

The second man is also described as Black, between 50 and 70 years old, with an amputated leg. He wore a dark jacket over a black and white plaid shirt, jeans, and a black shoe.

Police urge anyone with information to call the Major Crimes Division’s Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit at 240-773-5070. Tipsters can also contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).

A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Callers may remain anonymous.
