Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) have released photos of a suspect believed to be responsible for two bank robberies in Kensington.
The first incident occurred on Feb. 1, when a man entered the M&T Bank on Montgomery Avenue, placed a gun on the counter, and demanded cash. Bank employees complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 50 to 60 years old, and between 5 feet and 6 feet tall.
A week later, detectives believe the same suspect a week later entered the Capital One Bank on Connecticut Avenue, showed a gun, demanded cash from bank employees, and fled with the money.
According to the MCPD, individuals who provide tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a $10,000 reward. Tips stay anonymous.
