Detectives are seeking public assistance to identify suspects involved in vandalism and theft from 21 vehicles in the Silver Spring area. The incidents all occurred early Monday, Dec. 2, on Belvedere Boulevard, Woodland Road, Dameron Drive, Forest Grove Drive, and Forest Glen Road.
Montgomery County Police released surveillance video showing four suspects at approximately 2:30 a.m. breaking into vehicles. The footage captures two suspects entering a parked car, one pointing a handgun at a residence, and another acting as a lookout. After the theft, the suspects fled the scene.
Police urge anyone with information about the suspects or the crimes to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County at 1-866-411-8477 or submit tips via the website at www.crimesolversmcmd.org. Rewards range from $250 to $10,000 for tips leading to arrests. Anonymous tips are accepted.
