The Montgomery County Police Department will share how it plans to use drones to enhance public safety at a community meeting on Sept. 12.
During the meeting, police officers will present a proposal in which they use drones as first responders to decrease police response times.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with police officers and County Councilmember Natali Fani-González.
The meeting will last from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Wheaton Library and Recreation Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
The Mid-County Citizens Advisory Board and the Wheaton Urban District Advisory Committee are jointly hosting the meeting.
