Police: Underage Clarksburg Man Charged With Multiple Firearm Offenses

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has arrested and charged a Clarksburg man with multiple firearms offenses. Lawrence Harrison, 20, had multiple firearms in his possession and tools to manufacture Privately Made Firearms as a “prohibited and underage person,” according to police.

On Feb. 23, at approximately 7 p.m., a 5th district officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of Henderson Corner Road and Seneca Crossing Drive. As officers approached the vehicle, they could smell the odor of marijuana, MCPD said. Upon making contact with Harrison officers determined he was driving on a suspended license.

“The officers then searched the vehicle and discovered a 9mm handgun, part of a 3D printed Privately Made Firearm (PMF), commonly referred to as a ‘Ghost Gun’ and marijuana,” police said in a press release.

A search warrant was also executed at Harrison’s residence. Police located additional firearms, firearm parts, and tools used to assemble Privately Made Firearms inside his home.

Harrison was transported to the Central Processing Unit where he was charged with multiple weapon offenses and traffic citations, police said.
