Police: Victim Was Shot in D.C., Dropped Off in Takoma Park

Takoma Park Police assisted a gunshot victim Thursday who was shot in the District of Columbia and then dropped off in Takoma Park.

Police responded to the 200 block of Elm Avenue at 7:17 p.m., after receiving a report about a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, police found the victim conscious and breathing. He was transported to the hospital.

During an investigation, police learned that the shooting victim has been driven to Takoma Park in a late model white Toyota Corolla with tinted windows.

Officers gathered evidence from the scene. The evidence will be given to the District of Columbia’s Metropolitan Police Department, which will lead the investigation.
