Saturday, residents of Poolesville and tourists from near and far welcomed spring on the Whalen Commons. The 11th annual Springfest featured beer tastings from various local microbreweries and food trucks offering fare like poutine from Montreal and Mexican dishes by way of El Paso.
There were plenty of activities for children and teens—climbing walls, bucking broncos and the mandatory bouncy castle. Vendors hawked rustic wooden sculptures, Straight Outta Poolesville tshirts and handmade beaded jewelry.
The family focused fun get togethers continue in Poolesville on Fridays through summer on the Commons.
