Poolesville Day: A Celebration of Community and Fun

The Town of Poolesville will host its 32nd annual Poolesville Day on Saturday, Sept. 21. This free, day-long event is the town’s largest community celebration.

The day begins with an 8 a.m. 5K Charity Run/Walk, sponsored by the Poolesville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Monocacy Lions Club. The race starts and ends at Poolesville Baptist Church, 17550 W. Willard Road. Register online here. Race packets can be picked up Friday, Sept. 20, from 7-8 p.m. at Poolesville Baptist Church or before the race on Saturday, Sept. 21, starting at 7 a.m.

At 10 a.m., the Poolesville Day Parade starts featuring floats, sports teams, and cars. U.S. Senator hopefuls Angela Alsobrooks and former Governor Larry Hogan will join the parade. The parade starts at 10 a.m., rain or shine, at Fisher Avenue and Route 109.

Events continue with local vendors, a dynamic Electric Vehicle Car Show, and discussions by Poolesville Green. Family-friendly activities include farm animal exhibits, pony rides, and amusement rides.

Three stages will feature bands and entertainment throughout the day. View the entertainment lineup online here. Falcon Lane will showcase local school groups, including top-ranked Poolesville High School.

A health fair will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Town Hall.
