For the first time in nearly 50 years, the Washington D.C. Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kensington opened its doors to the public. From April 28 through June 11, the public could tour the interior of the temple.
The seven-floor temple was renovated and the open house was first planned for 2020 but was postponed due to COVID-19. After the open house period, the temple was rededicated and once again is not open to the public.
During a media event in April, MyMCM toured the seven-floor building and spoke with church leaders and Gov. Larry Hogan ahead of the open house.
