
A Potomac man has been arrested and charged following a homicide investigation related to the murder of an 87-year-old woman.
27-year-old Spencer Dillon Hamilton was brought into custody and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Pauline Yvonne Titus-Dillon, who was determined to be Hamilton’s grandmother, according to the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD).
At around 8 a.m. on March 30, Hamilton walked into the Rockville City Police Station and told police that he had murdered a family member, according to the MCPD.
Officers then responded to the 12600 block of Tribunal Lane at approximately 8:09 a.m., where they located Titus-Dillon with injuries and unresponsive in her bathroom. She was pronounced dead at the scene following lifesaving efforts by Fire Rescue personnel.
According to the MCPD, the victim will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an official autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Hamilton has been transported to the Central Processing Unit where he is currently awaiting a bond hearing, according to the MCPD.
