Where to Watch Tuesday’s Presidential Debate

Montgomery County residents can watch tonight’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former president Donald Trump at four local businesses.

In Wheaton, the Montgomery County Democratic Party is hosting a watch party at Los Chorros Restaurant. Located at 2420 Blueridge Ave., the event starts at 8 p.m. Attendees can find seating and order food before the debate starts. 

Silver Spring locals can head to the Solaire Social food hall at 8200 Dixon Ave., where a watch party will be held at the bar area. Attendees can order happy hour and Tuesday drink specials from 5 to 9 p.m.

Tommy Joe’s, located at 7490 Norfolk Ave. in Bethesda, is also airing the debate at a watch party held on the second floor. Those interested can register on the Democratic National Committee website ahead of time.

In Takoma Park, Busboys and Poets is co-hosting a debate party with Make All Votes Count DC at 235 Carroll St. NW. Before the debate airs, community members Hosiah Huggins Jr. and Dave Price will hold a pre-debate conversation at 7 p.m.

Stemming from President Joe Biden’s decision to drop out, tonight marks the first time Harris and Trump will meet on the debate stage.

Trump and Harris have not agreed to any further debates as of now.
