The Pride in the Plaza festival drew crowds to downtown Silver Spring on Sunday capping off Pride Month in Montgomery County. The festival included brightly colored clothing, music, speakers, food, drag story hours, and drag duels. Organizations were on hand to distribute information about support groups and medical assistance for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
MCM spoke with Councilmember Evan Glass at the festival who talked about what it means to be an ally.
