There’s another COVID-19 testing site available in Montgomery County. Kelly Goodman NP & Associates is offering drive-thru testing at the Waldorf School in Bethesda.
The primary care practice wanted to provide this testing option in a safe way for patients while limiting their exposure to others.
So far, they’ve held four drive-thru’s and tested more than 200 patients since starting on March 20. Officials with Kelly Goodman NP & Associates say they will be running the drive-thru testing site again this Friday from noon to 1 p.m.
Testing days and times vary each week so people are being asked to call ahead of time to confirm.
“We do require a telehealth screening with one of our providers prior to testing. We accept most major insurance plans and the test is covered under these plans,”said Ivy Prothro with the Kelly Goodman Group.
In addition, their Clarksville office, Kelly Care located in Howard County, will offer drive-thru testing on Friday. Officials with the practice say their Washington, DC office, Promenade Primary Care, is offering walk-in testing Monday-Thursday afternoons.
Other COVID-19 drive-thru testing sites are in the process of opening throughout the county according to officials. Gov. Larry Hogan mentioned during a press conference that more COVID-19 emissions sites are expected to open across the state when additional testing kits become available.
